Chiang Mai to Host Massive Flower Festival to Honor King Bhumibol

THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: More than 200,000 people are expected to flock to the northern Thailand city of Chiang Mai next month for the annual Ratchaphruek (flower) Festival.

The colorful festival will form part of the 82nd birthday celebrations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on December 5, and take place at the same venue that hosted the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek in 2006 to celebrate the King’s 60th year on the throne.
